Essaouira, the former Mogador, is the "Bride of the Atlantic," with crenelated walls, the breath of trade winds, residences with white and blue facades, and the color of foam and waves.
It's one of those coastal communities where the pleasure of life and nautical pursuits go hand in hand. We stroll there silently, under the shade of its ramparts, the same ones that define Astapor, the red city from the HBO series "Game of Thrones." We climb these walls and take the walkway: from there, we can see the Purpuraires islands, the falcons, seagulls, and gulls that swoop over this nature reserve. Surfers, windsurfers, and kitesurfers in the distance never get tired of the wind's quality!
